Regina Sarmento is a seasoned nonprofit executive, behavioral health strategist, and the visionary founder of Acres of Hope, a nationally recognized residential program for homeless women and children.

Armed with a degree in Strategic Business Management, Regina has launched thriving nonprofits, revitalized struggling agencies, and earned recognition for her deep impact in the communities she serves. For over two decades, she’s been creating trauma-informed, faith-based programs that produce real, measurable change, never settling for the status quo, but boldly challenging norms to deliver what truly transforms lives.

Now living in Iowa, Regina continues her mission through Next Wise Choice, a powerful curriculum and coaching model built to help individuals break barriers and step into their God-given purpose. Her approach blends bold truth, practical tools, and heartfelt encouragement.

Regina and her husband Darrell also run Muddy Dog Market & Grill in Unionville, IA, a local favorite where good food, warm community, and genuine hospitality meet.
